Agree that BSG is dark. I like it because they persevere through the dark times, which is a helpful attitude in the real world going into our own dark future.

Oh, man. I soooooooo HATE that poster.
Glad I didn't see it before I saw the movie. It gives a totally wrong impression of the movie (and it gives away a bit too much of the ending, IMO).

Adam Baldwin has come to be one of my favorite supporting actors.
He has some good lines in NBC’s Chuck.
He was a riot in Firefly.

Is Sanctuary worth watching?
If you watch it from the beginning, it sort of grows.
If you come in to it mid-season, you might be lost.

In all fairness I prefer Tayla and Ronon... Tayla is pretty, smart, (not Sam smart), kick butt, and sing.. As for Ronon, he tells like it is and no bs.. I think there was one episode that had Ronon giving our Marines orders I was upset, but then I realize it was no big deal..

Honestly...I think ‘Atlantis’ is pretty good.
I look forward to the cliff-hanger that is going to be next week’s series finale.
(Yes, I said cliff hanger and series finale in the same sentence. In case you didn’t know, the MOVIE that they’re going to do after the finale will resolve the series. No idea when it’s coming out. It will be a DVD movie, like the 2 Stargate SG-1 movies were.)

That is why I like the new BSG over the old BSG...I hated the old BSG! I know the lousy special effects were because of the technology of the times, but I thought that it was WAY too tongue in cheeck considering the situation they were in.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla; All
I agree it was tongue and cheek, however, the old BSG had it moments.. The old Commander Cain, Count Iblis, the final episode of the Old BSG.. I also liked the old version of Planet Kobol..

Please add me to the sci-fi ping list.
I recently got the Firefly series through Netflix snailmail and it was excellent. I hadn’t heard of it before, and it was one of your sci fi threads that pointed it out. I’ll be getting the Serenity movie soon.
Is there any way to organize a request for a series? I’ve wanted a Star Trek anthology series for more than 15 years now.

If you come in to it mid-season, you might be lost. That seems to be true for anything on the Sci-Fi channel! I tried to "jump in" to Battlestar G (hey, I saw every episode as a kid so it should be easy, right?). My head exploded.

Bought the DVD’s a long time ago. Serenity is a gem. A true and accurate sci-fi drama with heavy libertarian overtones. Mal could easily be my alter-ego.

I did like the 2 SG1 movies. They did a good job of finishing off the story.

IMO, no. I find it extremely boring. But watch a few episodes and judge for yourself. To me it's nothing but an ego trip for Amanda Tapping.

From experience I can tell you that after they get over 25, they start to acknowledge the fact you MAY BE human. But remember grandkids are the reward for not killing them.
