I loved Firefly when it was on and I enjoyed this movie. I had no idea the “crazy” sister is now Cameron on Sarah Connor Chronicles. Excellent casting.

As a Christmas present to myself I bought the Firefly series and the Serenity movie on DVD.
My kids think I'm nuts for watching the episodes over and over.

My favorite line from the movie comes when Jayne is asked if he really thinks the crew will survive a Reavers attacks and he looks up with a worried face and offers: “Well...I might.”
My next favorite line would have to be “What was that?”

Is Sanctuary worth watching? I surfed onto an episode recently and was curious. I figure since it is first season, I won’t have as much to catch up on! Usually by the time I “discover” a show, it is just about ready to stop production.

I tell you what, River Tam does it for me. (Summer Glau) That whole series (Firefly) kind of "morphed" into how she and her brother, the doctor, finally were explained and detailed.
She plays a similar character in "The Terminator-Sarah Conner Chronicals".
I just KNOW she and John are going to somehow "hook up".
Wow! Every teenagers dream......She's pretty hot IMHO

Bought the DVD’s a long time ago. Serenity is a gem. A true and accurate sci-fi drama with heavy libertarian overtones. Mal could easily be my alter-ego.

Talk about your SciFi retrospective... I just watched (for the nth time) my favorite Christmas SciFi show / episode - “Space:Above and Beyond” - “The River of Stars” Ep:12 12/17/1995 - The 58th in enemy territory in a disabled spacecraft. Their CO send them the audio for Apollo 8 and they discuss their doubts and faith. EXCELLENT apologia of Christmas and Christian Faith. Even in 1995 I was SHOCKED amd UPLIFTED at the explicit message and have gotten the DVD set to watch every Christmas season.

All the Firefly shows are on Hulu.....Jewel Staite is fine.
Btw BSG is a great sci-fi show if you can put up with the Gaius Baltar character. Commander Adama to Commander Zero—”he’s a CYLON!! Flush em out the airlock”
