It’s been several years since I used Ghost.

I had some very serious problems with it. Really fouled some things up and cost me dozens and dozens of man hours.

I don’t recall specifically what the problems are. It NEVER lived up to my expectations by any stretch of the imagination and really was a huge headache.

I gather you are saying it’s fine now and does the bit about saving settings and desktop?

Sounds good. But I’ve been burned sooooooooooooooooo many times sooooooooooooo outrageously by Norton, I doubt I’ll use them again in this lifetime.

The only software company I think is more destructive to sanity and welfare and wallets is Microslop.

I’ve had good luck with Acronis TrueImage for backing up partitions/data as images. I did just restore a partition to the wife’s laptop, and it went smoothly.

I’ve heard that Norton Ghost isn’t what it used to be, although I’ve never used it.
