No joke.

I was afflicted with Graves when I was young and many have been locked up for that being blamed as a mental disorder also.

I ended up in the ER with a heart rate over 200 IIRC and years of suffering prior before a Doc caught on.

Life has been rough with living post graves with what the synthetic hormone does to the brain/body. BUT I am alive.

Itching is usually a one of the signs I am low it is coincidence it started when I read about your afflition.

Being toxic is like being autisitic or mentally challenged.

I get blood draws every 4 months to adjust doses.

I dont question your affliction or suffering at all, been there.

Was just listening to some of Joni's music on youtube; and noticed and interview where she speaks of her childhood. She speaks here of a 'sickly childhood'; where she suffers serious illnesses. Polio; scarlett fever and terrible Chicken pox outbreak.

Just wondering if theses illnesses in 'total'; or singularly; or their treatment; may make one susceptible - if even, perhaps a particular antibiotic - or just one's own immune attributes which may be compromised in ways that one is not aware might be contributory here. (Not that we are usually 'aware'of our immune systems; until, that is; we are ill. . .so 'whatever' on that one. . .)

But found her history, interesting/thought-provoking. . .nonetheless.

I thought thyroid as well, in fact, at times I have had many hyper and hypo thryoid signs, went to a great endocronologist here, did tons of blood work, everything checked out fine, I even developed diabetic like symptoms, but not diabetic. I am lucky, I have no lesions, in fact, if you looked at me now you would think I'm perfectly healthy, but I'm sick as a dog, the crawling isn't so bad of late. I did fulvic acid a while back, that can really help with Graves. Here's the stuff I did:

Notice the Graves disease success story on the left. I have been thinking of doing more, by the way, very important, never take fulvic with Chlorinated water. I think these guys make great product(s).

Great. I've never actually taken Fulvic without chlorinated water.... So now I have to ask.... Why?

Your fulvic acid company should have told you this, this is exactly why I only use Vital Earth Mineral products, they told me about Chlorine.

Just got over here on this thread from your other post. I am so sorry you are dealing with this personally. Please ignore all those who joke — I think it’s one of the worst human coping methods we all possess, but it’s always there regardless...

I went through a period of time a few years back when doctors didn’t believe me about the pain I was in (seeing as I was still able to move, and I have incredible flexibility). The problem my back specialist finally found was that besides having several problem areas in my neck, and finally finding a medication that keeps my migraines at bay, is that I am TOO flexible - my bones in my spine move around SO much that they rub against the nerves and irritate them to no end at times.

Despite all the pain I was in, it was no being believed that was the worst of all. Being treated like you are nuts, or (in my case) being treated as if you are some kind of junkie looking for a pain med. fix is so incredibly... Well, honestly, I haven’t found a word for how empty and hopeless it makes one feel.

I will be praying for you, and all of your fellow sufferers and their families. I will also be praying that God will open the minds of all those doctors who are too sure of themselves at times and dismiss their patients concerns about this disease.

That’s an interesting thought about it being some sort of bioterrorism (esp. with the year it started showing up). IIRC it was first seen in the South & Southwest as well, wasn’t it? Perhaps just a coincidence, but IIRC the guys who flew those planes on 9/11 were all based in Oklahoma for a while, and also traveled to Las Vegas shortly before 9/11, too.

FWIW, I've never heard of this here in Britain either directly, or indirectly referring the the US, why aren't people speaking out about this? This should be shouted from the rooftops to get some weight behind a process for defining treatments.

It might be worth going to the Discovery Health website and see if you can track down the doctor in Texas. He hasn’t found a cure but I think he has found some things that bring some relief and he doesn’t think it is a mind disease. If I ever see it again in reruns, I will make note of the Dr’s name.
