U R welcome, and I wish I could get soups for that price,,,even off brands are a lot more for me. Aldi’s has some off brands but sell out quick. I’ll look around about buying more volume. Dried rice and beans are a good staple and can be kept a long time with bay leaves...but we need to be careful and not get stuck like some did on y2k. I do expect within 2 yrs some real depression problems developing, if not sooner..I could be wrong.

I agree.

If you have a Sams Club card, they sell 50# bags of rice for $20. ALOT cheaper than buying by the box or the small bags at the grocery store. There are food grade 5 or 6 gal buckets you can buy to store beans and rice. Also oxygen absorbers.

There are about 2-1/2 cups of dry rice per pound. From what I've read, 100# of rice would fit into 3 buckets.

Also I've read that each person should have 1 cup of rice per day, on "survival" type rations.

With what the government is doing, hyper inflation HAS to follow sometime. We'll all need to plan ahead for whats coming. I love potatoes, but they don't store long, and they may get REAL expensive in the future.
