Thank you again, for the beautiful devotions
It is a place/oasis of peace, hope, and calm in this tumultuous world.
A daily reminder to us all of God's presence.

Best not to discuss politics with him; it is tough having liberal friends and family. :^ )

Thats a beautiful bird of blue! Wish we had those but we have the pretty bluejays here very plentiful and they love peanuts, too! Not from our hands. But anywhere you will place them, they’ll come after them.

Lovely red tulips, Meg. I must find something ‘red’ for Friday as soon as I catch up!
Cleaned out my two canned goods shelves this morning. With that and cleaning the two ceiling fans in this room, wouldn’t you say I am finished my spring cleaning....LOL!
One time I told a friend here that I had just cleaned out my fridge, so my spring cleaning was finished! We can dream!

Thanks, jaycee. Your jays might take peanuts out of your hand too. It takes a bit of patience for them to trust you enough. Although, I have never seen photos of blue jays doing this, so maybe it is just scrub jays that are able to be “socialized”.

I’ll tell you what hubby used to do!
We have several large poplar trees in the front yard, close to the street. The bark is such that he could place the peanuts into the cracks of the bark. I’ve seen him place 20-30 peanuts up and down the trunk, then we would sit back on the patio and watch them come and get them. It was so much fun and very entertaining. Now, I just throw a few out in the yard or driveway and watch them get them there! The squirrels and bluejays almost fight over them on the ground!

Well, that is true. You have a point there. Liberals wouldn't last long in the animal world of survival of the fittest, would they? They could whine all they liked, but no one is going to build their nests for them.
It bothers me that jays are quite mean, as birds go. Still, I try to remember, they are as God made them and their behavior is what ensures their survival in nature. I have a soft spot for my jays, so I have convinced myself that they would never rob another bird's nest. ;-)

It’s fun getting to watch an animal show right in your own yard. Very entertaining. Much better than most of what is on TV these days. :-)

I can sure see the resemblance between you and your brother!
Looks like you had a great time. Too bad the weather was so cold and damp. That is basically Oregon weather, a lot of the time.
Thanks for sharing the link to your photos. :-)
