LOL Will work for chocolate.....
Hey-y’all probably know this, but Shel Silverstein wrote A LOT of songs as well as his dittys, which I adore. A boy Named Sue, One’s On The Way, and a bunch of adult stuff.
Glad you liked the poem. :)

Is it obvious that I have some new software? :)
I have been playing with the new frames and stamps.
I haven't heard the results of Nan's doctor visit. Hope she went.
We're praying for Nan and for Jaycee's son.
I've missed your posts the past couple of days.
Hope everything is okay.

Never Too Old
Is anything too hard for the Lord? Genesis 18:14
The women of Brown Manor had raised their families and retired from their careers. Now they could no longer live on their own, so they came to Brown Manor as a sort of last stop before heaven. They enjoyed each others company but often struggled with feelings of uselessness. Sometimes they even questioned why God was so slow in taking them to heaven.
One of the women, who had spent years as a pianist, often played hymns on the Manors piano. Other women joined her, and together they lifted their voices in praise to God.
One day, a government auditor was conducting a routine inspection during one of their spontaneous worship services. When he heard them sing What Will You Do With Jesus? the Spirit of God moved his heart. He recalled the song from his childhood and knew that he had chosen to leave Jesus behind. That day, God spoke to him again and gave him another chance to answer the question differently. And he did.
Like the women of Brown Manor, Sarah thought she was too old to be used by God (Gen. 18:11). But God gave her a child in her old age who was the ancestor of Jesus (21:1-3; Matt. 1:2,17). Like Sarah and the women of Brown Manor, were never too old for God to use us.
The longer we live, the more that we know,
Old age is the time for wisdom to show;
Who knows how much good some word we might say
Could do for that one whos wandered away? Bosch

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

That is gorgeous, Billie!
I feel so bad about not getting back here yesterday. Am I fired, Amy?
Things are crazy here. We are down to one vehicle, MINE. We sold our Town and Country Mini-van a couple days ago and are looking for a beefy 3/4 ton diesel pickup to pull the fifth wheel that we are planning on purchasing. Seems like this project has taken over our lives. Anyway, yesterday just got away from me and I apologize again, Amy, for being such a lousy hostess.
This weekend our son and DIL are coming down to help us make the final decision on which fifth wheel to purchase. We have it narrowed down to two. So, it will be a busy weekend for us.
I am scheduled to "hostess" on Monday. I will try to do a better job of it. :-)
Happy 'Wear Red FRiday' to all!

"Am I fired, Amy?"
You must be kidding ... I would really hate to find the door locked Monday. :)
Are you planning to take the fifth-wheel to Sacto on the 15th? That would be a nice break-in excursion.
Happy Red FRiday.

Are you planning to take the fifth-wheel to Sacto on the 15th? That would be a nice break-in excursion. I don't think we will have it ready by then, but it would be wonderful if we could. We will need to have a hitch installed in the bed of the truck, and we don't even have the truck yet.
We are also thinking that we won't be able to go up to Sacramento. We are going to close the studio on the 15th, but will need to be back home to open back up on the 16th. I heard there is going to be a tea party at Blackstone and Shaw on the 15th. I think we will have to go to that one. It's just so far to Sacramento when you have to make the trip up and back in one day. We wanted to join Jim up there, but ten hours on the road is a little much.

As The Dawn
Give not of thy heart, if not honest
for love is of all treasures the best
Laugh with your heart, open and free
and let the moods of others just be
Lift thy spirit, as the sun at dawn
as fresh each day as dew on the lawn
Welcome the new day, with open arms wide
unafraid of the day, fear not nor hide
Greet all with the same love of life
set aside any hint of inner strife
Be as the light, illuminate friend and foe
gift the warmth of the spirit wherever you go
Good Morning One and All!

That's a beautiful blue bird but the robin wears red to support the troops. I know. What a beautiful patriotic red bird!
My jay is probably a darned liberal, but we haven't really gotten into politics. Most of our conversations revolve around peanuts and how he isn't getting enough. Yep, he sounds like a whiny liberal. LOL
