As The Dawn

Give not of thy heart, if not honest
for love is of all treasures the best
Laugh with your heart, open and free
and let the moods of others just be

Lift thy spirit, as the sun at dawn
as fresh each day as dew on the lawn
Welcome the new day, with open arms wide
unafraid of the day, fear not nor hide

Greet all with the same love of life
set aside any hint of inner strife
Be as the light, illuminate friend and foe
gift the warmth of the spirit wherever you go
