In a chaotic depression it will be food that is worth more than diamonds...lol Priorities will be changed in hard times, and those who don’t think and plan ahead will be hardest hit. Those of us who were poor growing up will be able to adjust, since we have been there before. This article about what happened in Argentina during that collapse will help you see...rural isn’t always better, just different way of dealing with it. Building emotional support communities will be paramount, if people can rely on each other.

Since December, we have been buying emergency food, a little every month. Unfortunately, you can never have enough for a depression so it would only be a temporary reserve. I’ve recently placed an order with Honeyville Grains, their dehydrated foods are rated very well, i.e. dehydranted potato flakes, hash browns, milk replacer, veges, etc. I buy my meats from MRE depot.com and will buy some more from Mountain House hopefully this month. I also found a great site that sells cannced garden seeds for 5 year storage, with only a $5.00 shipping. They are called
http://www.efoodsdirect.com/product-displa...1&id=cseeds, every where else, the shipping was $10.00 and over.

My biggest fear is protection. My husband won’t allow any guns, so how do I protect my stash.

Scratching head.
