It may be time to take a look at allowing blogs to be listed in news rather than bloggers & personal.

We do allow some blogs or blog postings in news. It depends on if the blog posting is actually 'news', bringing something new or breaking to the story or if it is by an authority. Basically, is it actually news or just some John Doe commenting on news? Michelle Malkin or Neil Boortz's blog, for example, are usually allowed in news.

What I’ve seen with our Dinosaur Media threads is blogs that cover TV or newspapers (like this morning’s story on the Ft Worth Star Telegram layoffs) often precede AP stories by a hour or more. Perhaps a little more leeway there.

All just my opinion, of course.
