For those of us that didn’t know who she was.

“The former chief of staff to ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was released from jail early Monday morning.”

For those of us that didn’t know who she was.

“The former chief of staff to ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was released from jail early Monday morning.”

To explain that further, Beatty was not only Kilpatrick’s Chief-of-Staff, but was involved with him in an illicit love affair which spawned thousands of text messages between them.

Among the text messages, that were compelled by a judge to be released, were messages that proved the firings of Detroit Police Deputy Chief Gary Brown and Officer Harold Nelthorpe were not motivated by performance - as they had claimed under oath in a “whistleblower lawsuit” trial for the fired officers - but were fired for purely political reasons, not the least of which was that the officers were investigating allegations of a party at the Mayor’s home that involved female strippers, one of which was found shot to death in a car a short time after the party, when it was alleged she had been confronted and beaten by the Mayor’s wife. (That is being persued under a wrongful death lawsuit filed by a local attorney).

The cops were originally asking for a $200,000 settlement, to which Kilpatrick said no way. The suit was brought to trial and Kilpatrick lost to the tune of $8.4 million.

After the trial, Kilpatrick and Beatty were charged with 21 counts of conspiracy, obstruction of justice and perjury between them. Both got a plea deal and pled guilty to perjury. Kilpatrick lost his law license and owes the city of Detroit $1 million in restitution.

These two are scum, and should have gotten a great deal more time than they did. That may happen if local attorney Norman Yatooma can find any link between these two and the shooting death of that stripper.

Please don't suggest that!

Especially since Kirkpatrick has moved to Dallas to be reconciled through The Potters House Church.

We have enough politicians that are former or current crooks.

I hope that Kirkpatrick does repent, and stop giving the Irish a bad name.
