So your reaction to an incident like that would have been to say “Well, the Secret Service is still doing a GREAT job!”???
Of course not .. but you’re lumping in a bad apple with all the other apples and saying the entire agency is a bad apple. That’s just simply not true.
I’d say if a field office doesn’t take a threat seriously enough to follow up on it when the President’s arrival in that area is imminent, the agency as a whole has a major problem. That doesn’t mean they’re bad guys or anything, and in fact I think the actual Presidential Protective Detail are probably the most professional and among the best law enforcement officers anywhere.
