Yes, but it also destroys your distance vision. Between gaming and my career I’m losing the ability to focus much beyond about 30 feet, something I expect to get worse in the coming years.

You and me both. I just had to get glasses. Fortunately when we get even older the natural farsightedness that comes with age will counter act some of that.
