ok.. question.
if i see someone wearing such a ring or necklace, and proceed to pound their head into the ground... can i collect a reward when i turn in the liquefied remains?
on a more serious note... could i have any legal problems if i restrain the individual until authorities arrive? which brings me back to wondering about restraining ‘techniques’ on said individual... like... announcing to the gathering mob what the guy does

The problem is it could be innocent... or they could believe in underage sex but not actually do it.
You might have a problem.
I had a ring similar to the one shown about 30 years ago. Pedophiles dont have a lock on the triangle design and I doubt people are asked for their pedophile bona fides when buying jewlery.
I hate to say this but on what basis could you restrain them... *maybe* if they were with a little kid but being mentally ill in and of itself is not crime..
Maybe taking down the guys license tag - and turning it over to the police might be a better solution. Then follow up on it. Or better yet, call the tag number into the FBI - they'll know what to do with that information.
If you want to "get involved", use your cell phone to take a picture of the guy (be discreet) - best with the jewelery showing - send that along to the FBI too. Maybe the guys appeared in some videos... Let's fight back - smart.
