Dasy wasn't just any household pet -- she was given to Luttrell following his return to the United States in 2006 from Afghanistan. Luttrell was the sole SEAL team member to survive an intense June 2005 firefight with the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Dasy, named after each of Luttrell's fallen peers, Daniel "Danny" Dietz, Matthew "Axe" Axelson and Michael "Yankee" Murphy, reportedly helped the SEAL overcome his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Speeding. But who has a jury trial for a speeding ticket?
Unfortunately this is probably far from over. The LEO’s would have submitted a full report to the prosecutors office for a charging decision.
I was a cop for 30 years, ret detective Sergeant.. and after being satisfied that I could articulate that the SEAL was no longer a threat to anyone, I would not have taken this man into custody, nor treated him like a suspect in any way, nor issued any citations. And, I would have done anything legally possible to prevent any future charging. Heck, I might have failed to advise him of his right and screwed the case up right then and there. ;>)
As a citizen, I would have done everything I could have to kill those worthless bastards, it would have been in self defense while I was in fear of my life.
Relax, I have been retired for over 7 years.... ;>)
I think the Constitution calls for a jury right.
Yeah so? When’s the last time you decided to have a full jury trial for a speeding ticket that you got?
Well, I kinda assume these punks got roughed up a little. After all they had firearms in their car and they committed crimes with them, correct? I think they even threatened the seal as they were being arrested. That right there might be a crime all by itself.
You and I both know that the seal could’ve shot those punks to death when he found his dead dog and no one would’ve questioned him over it. The fact that he didn’t proves to me he’s honest and law abiding. He was very cooperative with the law enforcement. He remained calm.
That’s why I think a speeding ticket is sufficient.
But let’s keep in mind that we are talking about a dog here. Not a human.
These two clowns will be looking over their shoulders for the rest of their miserable lives.
They will come to a bad end. Both of them.
Poor man. He hadn’t had enough heartbreak and emotional suffering, this had to happen. Sometimes you wonder what’s going on in God’s mind.
Technically, you’re correct.
Jury trial if charged with anything.
Not guilty.
Unanimous verdict.
We have a nine month old retriever named Daisy.
This man exhibited far more restraint than I’m capable of, I freely admit I’d have shot them all, and gone to jail for doing so.
If you kill my fenced in dogs, to me thats the first logical step to coming into my home and killing me and my wife.
I’ll always view it that way, and respond accordingly.
‘technically, that seal broke all kinds of laws. Even cops arent allowed to chase in some cases.’
Ummm, thats simply false, with the exception of speed violations.
Civilians don’t operate under the constraints of LEO’s. See bounty hunters for a great example.
No, it’s simply true. Unless you are going to try to convince me this seal is a licensed bail bondsman or bounty hunter and that he knew who these guys were and had a contract to bring them in, I’d say your post is senseless.
You don’t have to be ‘licensed’ under current law. I have you at a distinct disadvantage here, having done some things along these lines in my career.
Familiarize yourself with the prevailing laws.
