Fox's Comedic Genius (More trash from the "conservative" network)
Family Resarch Center ^ | April 9, 2009 | Brent Bozell

Posted on 04/12/2009 5:09:01 AM PDT by heye2monn

Take the March 8 episode that featured the baby eating horse semen; that suggested Ronald Reagan had sex with Mikhail Gorbachev; that showed the 11-way gay orgy scene; and played it for laughs when a horse trampled a class of deaf second-graders at the race track.

Well, just last month they did a sketch with the mother and Brian arguing about the mother’s anchor job at Fox. The mother had to set up a sting at Michael Moore’s house to catch him doing something (I don’t recall). Anyway they found Rush Limbaugh coming in and out of the house and assumed he and Moore had a sexual relationship. Turns out that Rush Limbaugh, Michael Moore, and a host of other characters was actually Fred Savage in a fat suit.

And the show when the doctor turned on Peter’s gay gene, weren’t they making fun of gay people?

You are right though, haven’t seen anything about Pelosi. But does the average person watching Family Guy for laughs know who Nancy Pelosi is?

As for Obama, I would just give them time. Family Guy is just not yet ahead of the curve like South Park is.

I seriously doubt Family Guy will pick on Obama. Many here are correct when they say that MacFarlane is an avowed leftist. He is.

He does poke some fun at all sides, but I definitely see the leftist slant to Family Guy, which is why I choose not to watch it very much. I would be truly surprised if he were to go after 'The One' like Trey and Matt have on several occasions now.

South Park remains king at making real political statements via an adult cartoon. Family Guy is mostly just nonsense.

Bozell hates them both because he is rather uptight.

Why do you keep throwing around this “conservative network” junk. Fox is not now, never has been, and as long as there’s money in it, never will be a “conservative network”. Fox News is conservative because Rupert saw an open market niche and went for it. Fox the entertainment channel has been irritating Christian conservatives since they started the network with The Tracy Ullman Show. Fox the entertainment company dares the FCC to fine them and revels in the free publicity they get from AFA and articles like this, always has, always will.

So who’s hotter, Lois Griffin or Wilma Flintstone?

That show IIRC Lois was to do a hatchet job on MM. When the network found outabout Rush leaving the premesis, they canceled the story.

Balanced? Hardly! This just gives reinforcement to the loopy left belief of a vast right wing conspiracy. Also they made a point of stating Rush is gay, without mentioning Jabba is gay.

FG USED to be funny. Mostly it is just political jabbing by the left now. Nothing funny about it. They took the funny gag of unzipping lesbian-horse-broom characters from the first season , and used it to promote political/theoretical/social equalism.

I’m glad you agree. Profit or not, the Fox executives should have the common decency not to run a show that makes fun of JFK’s bloody assassination.

Why take on Fox? Well, Fox is well-known as the “conservative network” and gets hammered by liberals for any hypocrisy or stupidities like foul and obscene television shows. Fox is an incredibly influential network to the countless children who could see a show making fun of JFK’s bloody head.

The good news is that Fox probably has more conservatives working for it than most other networks. So they have at least a shred of a conscience and common decency. These employees are probably secretly appalled by jokes making fun of JFK’s bloody head. So we must try to influence those people in positions of responsibility, not 20 year old nitwits who delicately spell out the word G-d but seem to have none of G-d’s gentleness and grace.

I agree that Fox is not conservative in some ways — definitely not with shows like this. But Fox is more conservative than most other networks. It is known as THE conservative network in the public mind and probably has more conservatives on staff. If social conservatives keep complaining about a show that makes fun of JFK’s bloody head, then eventually Fox may be shamed out of its behavior. Keep the faith, man!

Who are you calling a 20 year old nitwit? I at least understand the difference between Fox News and the Fox network. They are two different things, you know. You do understand that, right? Right?

Or are you 20 years-old?

BTW, The use of "G-d" is from a tradition a bit older than Christianity, it's from a tradition that discovered your G-d.

Maybe you are twenty.

I don’t really agree. Fox execs should be able to program what will make their affiliate stations money.

But as long as you’re not petitioning the government to remove programming offensive to you from the airwaves, you have every right to complain and ‘vote with your wallet’ if that’s what you want to do!

My wife bought me something for Christmas called a remote control. It has an on and off button and others that can change stations. Now no one can make me watch their evil programs.

Fox the entertainment network is not conservative in ANY way. Fox NEWS is “the” conservative network. Social conservatives have been complaining about Fox Network shows as long as there’s BEEN a Fox Network and they ain’t been shamed yet. And given their profitability it’s not gonna happen. Fox is a business, they exist for money, Fox News is conservative because there was an available niche. Murdoch was a big fundraiser for Hillary nothing on Fox News is that way because Murdoch agrees with it, it’s that way because he makes money on it. Murdoch is a good old fashioned capitalist, he doesn’t let his political beliefs get between him and the pay check.

An immature 20-year old like you is more likely to defend a show making fun of the JFK assasination — regardless of which network runs it. You well know that the two Fox networks are lumped together in the public mind and controlled by the same amoral old man.

I fully understand why “G-d” is used and totally respect its use in the Jewish faith. It is remarkable that you take the G-d rule seriously but clearly do not have any other religious sensiblity or decency. Or else you would condemn this horrid show. What does your rabbi think about this show? Or is he a liberal-minded nitwit too?

With your silly little remote control, I can’t protect all the American children who click on a show that makes fun of JFK’s agonizing, bloody, horrible death. But I can use my computer mouse to post articles that publicly shame Rupert Murdoch for running such filth.

I think you should have the government protect your children from what you allow them to do in your home. You silly twit.
