Rick Warren's Easter Message On Fox News Channel preempted
Vanity

Posted on 04/12/2009 9:46:18 PM PDT by Retired Chemist

I came home from my part-time job and set down to watch Pastor Warren's Easter message on Fox News Channel. Half way through they cut to a news alert announcing the release of Captain Philips and never returned to the message. I tried to watch it again at midnight but Geraldo was on. Anybody know where I might watch the remainder of the message?

"So religion can’t ever be news?????"

A full hour of any pastor's Easter Sunday sermon is not "news", in my opinion. This was done by someone who's desirous of keeping their name in the spotlight, not leading souls to Christ.

Did he talk about how wonderful gay marriage is?

Do they think that gay marriage is a good thing?

Yes, and I had to compromise my standards and watch MSNBC or CNN until I checked back with Fox enough times to find that they had finally forced themselves to cut away from his service to cover the breaking news (that they usually love!) of the captain being rescued!

If that were the case, I wouldn’t be listening to them. They are the only two preachers that I know of on TV that aren’t “prosperity” false teachers that are so popular lately.

Didn’t say that.

But no sermon should be news. Ever.

I agree with you there about a news channel airing an Easter Service mass, especially, when this morning, the news was all about the Captain being freed, yet Fox was still showing Warren. I had to tune in to CNN to get the breaking news (shudder).

I'm not a Warren fan by any stretch of the imagination, but listened to his sermon last night. It was right on target, the main point being the Cross, Blood and Redemption.

Rick Warren isn't capable of giving a sermon anyway.

Blood and Redemption.

Followed by his endorsement of gay marriage? What sort of regeneration does that constitute?
