Tea Parties! All Across the land. Here's my question to the Freepers here who are going to or are supporting the Tea Parties:

If a camera and reporter was thrust in your face, and they ask this question, "So, why are you here? what is this Tea Party about?" how would you answer?

What would be your set of bullet points you want to tell the local leaders, the local populace and the world?!

Don’t need bullet points personally. If they actually ask the question you pose:

I give nearly 40% of my income in taxes and fees in one form or another to a wasteful government intent on handing that money to people who won’t work for a living through welfare and related programs.

What I expect is some stupid baiting question however, which is going to get their microphone thrown across the street.

What type of baiting questions would you expect?

"We Shall Overcome."
This simple motto reflects a tone of civil disobedience towards a government that robs all of us of the very freedoms that inspired our Founding Fathers to create this land of opportunity. We are the greatest country in the history of mankind. The richest, most generous and most benevolent. We have a duty and responsibility to fear a government that despises individual freedom and liberty.

- We have a President who has declared open warfare on American businesses, and more generally, productive citizens across the board.

- Congress and the Obama Administration have put in place a budget that spends money that will not be generated in tax revenue for decades. This puts an onerous financial burden on generations YET TO BE BORN

- The default mentality in Washington is to solve all problems, real or imagined, by expanding government and spending more money. That heinously flawed, fundamental mindset needs to change dramatically.

It’s not about taxes, it’s about SPENDING.

Worse, it’s about spending money we don’t have.

Worse still, it’s about spending money we don’t have to ‘make whole’ failing corporations and ‘finanical institutions’ that brought us this ruin in the first place.

NO MORE BAILOUTS!

Some Daily kooks are saying they’ll infiltrate as reporters and post the worst comments on YouTube.

I’ll be giving an answer they won’t be using.

Simple, Americas made it clear to Congress that we did not approve of the bail-outs. They did it anyway.

They work for us, Congress sole job is to represent the will of the American people and they are not doing it. We founded this country to end taxation without representation and here we are again, being taxed without being represented.

It is interesting you should use the word “BULLET”.

If talking to the media, I would say “I’m here to show in a non violent way that the current trend toward socialism is unaccetptable and means economic disaster for the United States. I hope these protests succeed in reversing the course as the next protest may not be as peaceful.”

The reality is that I think these protests will fail and the US will go to socialism. I will be at a teaparty to try to network with others because when the crap hits the fan, I want to know a few friends.

I know a lot of you won’t go out of apathy, but I suggest you go and network for the reason I stated above.

I would like to add to my post 12.

Every history professor at college will tell you repression breeds revolution. In fact, it was the King’s oppression that started the original Boston tea party and the revolutionary war.

The spending of the last several months has already made hyperinflation inevitable.

And the Porkulus bill and the other massive spending bills contain totalitarian time bombs, such as socialized medicine, rationing healthcare for the elderly, forcing doctors and nurses to perform abortions or quit their profession, federal takeover of our medical records.

Here’s a question: Why is it an outrageous invasion of privacy if the government listens to a terrorist’s phone call, but not an invasion of privacy if the government has a complete digital copy of my entire medical history?

I am here because if I had ever wanted to live in a Communist country, I would have moved to one. I want to live under the U.S. Consitution. And not a living, breathing, pulsating constitution, but the real Constitution.

NEVER use the word “non-violent.”

When people hear the word “non-violent,” all they hear is “violent.”

Calling yourself, or a demonstration, or an organization “non-violent” implies to most people that violence is about to break out, and you’re just hoping to keep a lid on it.

I’ll let Mr. Adams speak for me.

“If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” Samuel Adams
