I absolutely loved “Olive Kitteridge”. It has to be in my top 5 list of all times. I’ve given 3 copies as gifts to other people. Give it a chance. It’s really that good.
Stow the hyperbole. Most Oscars go to technicians and craftsmen. Most Best Picture winners tend to be fairly conservative (Slumdog Millionare, Shakespeare in Love).
