HAMPTON, Va. (AP) Officials say three men are hospitalized after an overnight shooting in a dormitory at Hampton University in Virginia.
Police say the suspect is an 18-year-old Richmond man who shot a 62-year-old Hampton man and a 43-year-old Hampton man and then turned the gun on himself. No students were injured.
School spokeswoman Yuri Rodgers Milligan says that police believe the shooter is a former student, and that one victim is the night manager of Harkness Hall.

This is really stupid. Why are they starting this year? I don’t care if has to do with Obama or not. My worry is the American population is going to start demanding more anti gun regulations. It seems like the whole thing is on purpose instead of just coincidence.
Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.
Sounds like a lovers quarrel a la 2009.
Bingo.
Two weeks ago Sweetness and Light had up an ‘Is it me’ post; It had 200 stories all across the MSM and print on shootings.
What happened at Radford?
Thanks my son is at Hampden Sydney. Two weeks until graduation, then he will be home looking for a job, and I will feel better knowing I can see him daily. Between shootings, the flu and everything going on I am just uneasy and want my chicks close to home, even if they are old enough to roam the barnyard out from under my wing.
I honestly think it’s just the time of year - this is within a couple weeks of the time that Columbine, VT, and that incident in Binghamton all happened. If you look, it seems that this didn’t start till late March... I don’t know why, but it’s weird.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any good charts of mass murders by month... violent crime seems to peak in the summer, though, and IIRC suicide rates peak in the winter, so perhaps there’s some weird combination of the two?
