What’s the deal with this “lockdown” business? Can a citizen be legally imprisoned by the police without benefit of a trial?
I can understand a recommendation to stay inside, but the term “lockdown” makes it sound mandatory.

Probably a drug-related killing, with the shooter ducking into the campus. Of course, CNN is going to sensationalize it to make it into another crisis, as in "never waste a good crisis".

He said authorities believe the shooter then fled onto campus. Smart guy, fleeing to a "gun free zone".

It is just over the mountain from Virginia Tech. In the old days Tech was all male and Radford was all female and considered Tech’s ‘sister school’.

A local black guy shot another local black guy. Very strange considering this area is 95% white. There is no way it was random.
