How police said they decided to settle the debt could cost both men long prison terms.
Investigators said Friday that Bileci said he would repay the debt by allowing Williams to have sex with his 46-year-old girlfriend in the downtown residential hotel where they all lived.
The woman, who was asleep when the deal was made, knew nothing about the agreement, and investigators said Bileci sat silently in their room while she was sexually assaulted for at least a half-hour before she was rescued by police who arrested the two men.
Bileci, 47, and Williams, 49, are now each charged with eight felony counts that could lead to more than 30-year prison terms if they are convicted of all counts. Even though Bileci did not have sex with the woman during the attack some of the counts filed against him by Senior Deputy District Attorney Kim Hunter are "in concert" with sex crimes since authorities said he set up the encounter and did nothing to stop the assault.
Williams is charged with two counts of rape, four counts of oral copulation and two counts of sodomy.
For sentencing enhancement purposes, he is also accused of having four prior felony convictions going back to 1987, including two for possession and sales of narcotics, one for assault with a deadly weapon and one for theft.
Bileci is charged with "in concert" counts of rape, two counts of oral copulation, sodomy and four other counts of pandering.
The attack happened late Monday night at a residential hotel in the 1400 block of Jefferson Street where all three lived. Police said Bileci and the woman had been in a relationship for six years.
Earlier in the day, Bileci had borrowed $100 from Williams and promised to repay him later that night, Special Victims Unit Officers Ross Tisdell and Cynthia Espinoza said. What he used the money for is not known.
The woman was asleep in the room she shared with Bileci when Williams, who lived in another room at the hotel, came to collect, officers said.
Bileci did not have any money but said Williams could have sex with the woman to make good on the debt, authorities said.
"He doesn't even ask the woman," Hunter said. "Unbeknownst to her, he offered her up as a prostitute. He treated her like a piece of property and gave her away."
Police said Williams jumped on the sleeping woman, who woke up and demanded to know what he was doing. Police said Williams slapped and hit the woman and threatened to kill her if she did not have sex with him.
For at least a half-hour he sexually assaulted her while Bileci sat in a chair "and did nothing," Tisdell said.
The woman's screams attracted other residents who also were threatened by Williams not to intervene, police said. Some residents finally called police about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Responding officers found Williams forcing the woman to orally copulate him in a bathroom when they arrived, police said.
Both men have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them and are scheduled to have a pretrial hearing May 19. Williams is being held at Santa Rita Jail in lieu of $550,000 bail. Bileci is also being held there in lieu of $360,000 bail.
Well, there goes the “her boyfriend said it was OK” defense...
If the two men had decided to have sex with each other, I’d have said, “Oh, well.”
That probably would have been for pleasure. This was business.
The debtor should have had to pay up *personally*. Lock ‘em both up for a good long time!

How about this (theoretical) case:
Two men, one named "UAW," the other named "Hussein", agree that Hussein will pay back what he owes UAW by letting UAW rape a third party, hypothetically named "Creditors and Bondholders"?
And what if Hussein then threatens "Creditors and Bondholders" if they dare resist or complain?

I hope the bond holders and creditors resist to the death. Every business person, including Democrats, should be chilled to the bone about Obama’s thuggery.

Bileci conspired with Williams to commit felonies for hire (payment of debt). He should be charged with the same felonies and both should be prosecuted.
