I see that often and it is so defeatist that I suspect the motive of the poster. Sure we have a major challenge in overcoming this administration but Americans have overcome more in the past.
I agree with you - screwed meaning - for now when I post it.
There will be an opportunity in 2010 to take over the house or senate or a least increase the Republican numbers so that it’s a little harder to screw most Americans.
On the other hand, Conservatives don’t even have a party - we must depend on the Republican Party, so even at that level we seem screwed at least for now.
Realistically, most posters here cannot agree on national candidates - “100% Conservative or nothing” - just post any sort of compromise and all hell breaks loose right on top of the poster - been there, done that.
So, yes we are so screwed.
I’M NOT SURE that you have a sufficiently realistic understanding of the degree of the problem.
