I ran Update and the thing hung. I thought it was just taking a long time, but when it “ran” all night with that little rainbow wheelie thing, I knew something was wrong. I forced quit - the only thing I could do - and had to reboot because nothing worked right after that. When I rebooted, everything was fine. I’m not sure what to do now - try again? I closed everything before I ran it the last time. Not sure which part it hung on.

The second time it worked perfectly. I had never had a Mac install go bad on me before and didn’t know what to do. Thanks for the advice.

One of these days, I’m going to get me a Mac. It’ll sit proudly along side my Vista, W7, PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu, Puppy, and Mandriva machines.

Once you got your proud Mac, you could get rid of all the other machines and still have everyone of those OSes running in a virtual machine on your Mac.
