Cheyenne Cherry tossed her ex-roommate's kitty, Tiger Lily (below), into the stove, then left so she didn't have to hear the cat's anguished cries.
A Bronx teenager roasted her ex-roommate's kitten to death in a stove - then brushed off the incident as a joke when she was busted, authorities said Thursday.
"I hate cats," Cheyenne Cherry, 17, allegedly told investigators when asked about the heartless crime.
Cherry's confession came after she was arrested Wednesday by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
She and an unidentified juvenile allegedly broke into Valerie Hernandez's Tinton Ave. apartment on May 6 and trashed the place.

Be sure to click the link to see this tiny, adorable, helpless kitten. Then look at the monster who did this and try to wrap your mind around what she did.
(I'd post the pictures but I can't seem to do it on this forum - got frustrated and gave up)

This woman should get serious jail time.
Inhumane.

A kitten no less.
There’s a line in the story about the ASPCA arresting the woman. I’m glad she’s arrested, but I didn’t know the ASPCA has arrest powers.

Did you look at the photo?
I’m still struggling to wrap my brain around what she did. Jailt time is way too little. My impulse is to seek her out and put a blowtorch to her or horsewhip her until she is nothing but a gelatinous mass of raw, quivering ganglia.

Some states delegate out animal control/cruelty enforcement to them.

How does a 17 year old have an “ex-roomate”? Shouldn’t she be living at home?

Would you feel the same way if she was some gangbanger that beat another girl to death?

First the Miami cat mutilator, now this.
This idiot girl hates cats, so that justifies what she did? Throw the book at her. And several other objects.

The ASPCA has had this authority in many states, well over half, I believe, for over a hundred years. I think most states chartered them in and gave them enforcement authority through their respective agricultural departments.
I think they may be a different organization from the SPCA, not sure.

"I hate cats," Cheyenne Cherry, 17, allegedly told investigators Well, I really hate you.
Every single case I know of where someone does these things to an animal, they always go on to becoming a dangerous waste of oxygen. She'll do it to her kid someday.
I hope someone gives her a necklace, and hope to someday read about it in the news. Soon.

I am curious. Would you feel the same way if she was some gangbanger that beat another girl to death? If they were evenly matched, less so.
The outrage is compounded by the defenselessness of the victim. The outrage would be even greater for a human baby victim, of course.
The concept of helpless innocence as a subject of brutal sadism would be universally deplored by any worthwhile person.

Thank you. Now here's the monster:
She stated she doesn't like cats. Apparently she thinks that gives her the right to put a helpless little animal in an oven and fire up the heat. The horror of the fear and pain that poor little creature suffered at her diabolical hands is just beyond the pale. I think of it trying to put its feet down on the burning hot racks, looking for a cooler place, screaming and screaming and screaming. God help us. I'll wager this monster will either be dead or serving a life sentence by the time she's 20. I can hope, anyway.
