Intruder shot and killed. Homeowner not charged

MOORHEAD – Police here have released a Moorhead man who shot and killed an intruder in his apartment early this morning.

Vernon Albert Allen wasn’t charged with a crime after being detained by police for questioning since early this morning, Moorhead Police Lt. Tory Jacobson said in a news release about 4 p.m.

“Intruders” might want to stay out of the homes of decent people. If they feel as though they absolutely need to make themselves at home in somebody else’s house, I’d recommend they visit the homes of liberal DemocRATS. They don’t own guns.

I guess I was referring to the anti-gun libs as opposed to the gangbangers. Criminals are pretty much apolitical when it comes right down to it. They BENEFIT more under liberals but they generally don;t care because they don’t care about following laws or paying for anything anyway.

It’s unfortunate that the resident was detained from early morning to evening. In cases of clear self defense such as this the victim should not be detained and further victimized.
