"Inside Edition" has beaten everyone to the punch with this lovely photo of Sen. John Ensign, his wife, Darlene, and Cindy and Doug Hampton, the couple at the center of the Ensign extramarital scandal. This picture was taken in 2001 at a high school reunion.
"Inside Edition" says, "According to former classmates, Cindy Hampton (known as Cindy Barnes at the time) and the senator's wife, Darlene, were close friends in high school in California. Both women wrote about their lives in the 2001 reunion yearbook.
"Hampton writes: 'Doug and I just celebrated our 13th anniversary.Life is awesome and we are truly blessed.'
"In the same yearbook, Darlene Ensign writes, "We have been very committed to our family and Christ. It's been a great rollercoaster ride so far!'"
The show is currently airing at 10:30 a.m.

I’d just like to go on record tonight as saying that Cindy is one of my all time favorite female names.
I really didn't know much about this Ensign guy but I pretty much thought the same thing about Sanford that alot of people want to drool over. It's safe to say that a Palin 2012 candidacy just became a bit more likely unless Romney can truly demonstrate he's prepared to be an authentic conservative.

Just like me, In my type female I like for them to have two arms, two legs, two eyes, female anatomy from birth, two ears, a mouth and be breathing.....
May be conspiratorial but am I the only one who finds two republican marital scandals at one time to be kind of odd?
Ensign came right out with it immediately and even mentioned blackmail. Sanford doesn’t appear to have played the game correctly and now suddenly we have names, emails, addresses and we didn’t even know where he was this morning.
Granted neither would have happened if they hadn’t screwed around on their wives but somebody was digging up the dirt long before these ever came to light. Two GOP leadership positions vacated.

Why, why, why can’t these men keep their pants on? Why do they think no one is going to find out? Why do they think they can get away with it? Why do they want to step out on perfectly attractive wives when the price will be a long political career?
