Curtis Sliwa suspends show producer for screensaver snafu regarding Obama's "birth certificate"
Curtis Sliwa Live Radio Show ^

Posted on 07/02/2009 7:05:39 PM PDT by SilvieWaldorfMD

During last night's "The Curtis Sliwa Show" (Wed., 7/1/09), Curtis announced that he had suspended his longtime producer Frank Morano because of the fact that Frank had a screensaver on his own work computer that had a copy of the ObamaCrimes.com page depicting the alleged "faux" birth certificate of President Obama from the State of Hawaii.

Sliwa said that Frank will be suspended for the rest of the week, or until he removes the screensaver, and he stated that the Citadel lawyers are working with Frank to get him back on the air on the grounds of Free Speech. From what I've gathered by listening to Sliwa's show for months now, it appears that Frank has been a longtime critic of the President for not showing a real vaulted & sequenced copy of his original birth certificate. Curtis calls Frank's screensaver "treasonous".

He spoke about this topic last night (7/1) and is continuing the conversation tonight as well. Curtis can be heard LIVE weekdays via WABC radio in New York from 10 pm - 1 am. He can be heard on WMAL in Washington, DC from 9 pm - 1 am.

I think Sliwa could be playing games...

At least someone around here got it........LOL!

This is reminiscent of the time when Rush "suspended" Snerdley for 15 minutes or so due to insubordination..........LOL!

I think Sliwa could be playing games...with the leftist heads by appearing he believes the Obama official birth story. For what end I don’t know.

You're right. I don't know if this whole "Suspend Frank" deal is a joke or not, given that Frank has been allowed to talk about this birth certificate issue for over a year on-air.

Curtis is new to WMAL in Washington, D. C. other than when he subbed for Hannity. He did sign my copy of Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny. He's such a flirt, I REALLY think he's kidding everyone about the firing.

You are so right, HM! He does appear to bring this issue up during his first hour (9-10 pm), when he's only heard on WMAL and on some L.A. station only.

I haven't heard Chris Plante for a while, but I heard he was subbing for Mark Davis earlier in the week... I wouldn't know since I've been listening to Tammy Bruce sub for Laura Ingraham all week...

Sliwa is like Hannity to me. I can occasionally listen for very short periods of time. Very, very short.

Hannity is inane, most of the time.

Sliwa is over the top ego-driven - all the time.

Thank me!

BUT, Rush just started talking about this in the last two weeks, and more specifically this week. Curiouser and curiouser.

Yes, it leads me to think that Curtis is doing this to call attention to the matter. If Rush brings it up once in a while (I did hear him bring it up twice this week) it only means that "something's up"....

Interesting...

I’m noticing funny things over WABC 77 talkradio in NYC recently. In the last few months we’ve lost Bob Grant, Curtis Sliwa, Joe Scarborough complete with Mika the Marxist, and now some substitue host who is a phony liberal Democrat apologist masquerading as a “real conservative”. I think his name is something like Hagin or Nagin.

Just a wild little thought but it almost seems as though WABC is trying to head the Fairness Doctrine off at the pass. The station has replaced rock-ribbed, unapologetic conserviative hosts with luke-warm moderate Republicans who are more passionate about finding fault in their own party than they are in the complete leftist take-over of the Federal Government. Both Sliwa and Scarborough are spending such an inordinate amount of time on the Mark Sanford affair that it’s becoming silly — and boring. Is this WABC’s way of bowing down to the new statists who wish to pull the plug on conservative talk radio? In other words, they seek to water down the conservative message to make the statists and anti-freedom progressives happy?

Also, for those who might not be aware, WABC TalkRadio has recently replaced their long-time program program director with one Laura Cantillo who was a producer for Oprah on XM radio. Cantillo also says she finds Rachel Maddow “highly entertaining”. For any conservative listener of WABC TalkRAdio, this his highly distressing. She has been hired by WABC no doubt, to moderate the tone wherever possible. She will not touch Rush’s show or Levin’s or Hannity’s or they will quickly tell her where she can go. But she will be there to find some way to sneak in the liberal/leftist viewpoint whenever possible. During the weekends, when Hannity’s on vacation, subbing for Imus’s many absentees. We’re beginning to see and hear the new “moderate” WABC TalkRadio tailor-made for the Obama era -— and we don’t like it one stinking bit.

I will do the "Happy Dance" if 630 WMAL in Washington, DC drops Joe & Mika. They are unbearable to listen to. Mika is okay at times, I do like her, but Joe is awful - a narcissist and all "into himself" - more so than anyone else on radio... it's pathetic.

It was quite interesting the other night when he spoke contemptuously and without any indication of any knowledge of what he was speaking of about what he ridiculed as Sarah Palin’s lack of foreign policy credentials and knowledge, indicating that if she just hung around some with what Thomas Sowell calls “the anointed” and visited abroad some she could possibly become knowledgeable. However we should respect this man for creating the Guardian Angel movement, as a talk show host he is an astonishing ignoramus who has no sense whatsoever of the extreme limits of his own knowledge.

I am still speechless as to how the media and anti-Palin types like Sliwa are so passionate about a VP’s lack of foreign policy experience and yet somehow missed that THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Obama had next to zero understanding of foreign policy. The hypocrisy is glaring. But we’re supposed to feel like we dodged a bullet because Palin didn’t become VP and here we have North Korea launching missles our way, a violent dictatorship growing in Iran, while the Russians and the Chinese are unabashedly belly-laughing at us since Obama became POTUS and the media think each and every one of these distressing developments are somehow laudable while disgracefully, they continue to make a vile mockery of Sarah Palin and her family. Liberals are a pathetic lot.

Not all the time.

In fact, that’s all showmanship. He turns it on when there’s a live mic running, and he turns it off when there’s not.

I’ve spent several days with Curtis about two years ago, in front of mics, in private meetings and during “down-time”. For the most part, he’s just a very ordinary guy with a passion for stopping crime and getting involved in his community. Typical guy from Brooklyn.

If he was over-the-top ego driven, it is unlikely that any of us would serve with him as Guardian Angels. “Ego” could get us hurt or worse.
