Probably not, but as long as it doesn’t have Che Guevara on it, it shouldn’t mean a thing. AFAIK, the Soldier was responding to an immediate need for fire support for his position. As long as he had his weapon, helmet and body armor, who cares that he was in his sleeping gear. I made it up to my Battle Station on board ship in all different manners of dress. The only thing that mattered was that I was on station when needed, just as this Man was. It was his life on the line. If I also remember correctly, there were a number of Vietnam Vets (including 3 of my 7 Uncles)that had to do the same thing out in the Bush or Firebases.
I still applaude this Soldiers fortitude.......
