Larry King last night said that MJ was up to 30-40 a night at one point during his addiction, Janet tried a family intervention but he stopped them at the mansion gate.

10 isn’t all that much once the person develops a tolerance to them. My A-manager was up to 40 a day! I threatened him with termination, and he still kept at it..
The only thing that helps is an intervention once a person becomes addicted to them. I still cannot fathom how a Dr can prescribe any pain killers for more than 2 months. They are among the worst drugs on the market if abused.
OTOH, the “king of pop” is a POS.

I got prescribed Xanax awhile back. Doc screwed up, overprescibed Xanax for insomnia when a Tylenol PM would have been (and was, I self-medicated later) just fine.
Anyhoo, one Xanax absolutely screwed up my system so much that it scared the hell out of me. I tried it for a couple of nights, wound up throwing the rest away. I can't imagine what 10 would do to a person.
FWIW, Xanax is an excellent "happy pill". You don't really care about very much....getting up to go to work, getting dressed, house is on fire, etc etc etc. Everything just kinds of slides off.
I have a feeling that his famnily is going to be suing a few doctor’s and possibly pharmacies. How anyone could get their hands on all of this stuff without anyone saying a word? Gosh even when I’ve been injured bad enough for pain pills it’s been like nearly impossible to get any prescribed!
Good Grief! Who is going to explain to the sweet daughter who loves him so much that he didn’t care enough for her to get off the drugs - hmmmm? That amount of stuff would kill a moose....
The guy’s dead, so I don’t really care, except to note that the press seems to have hidden this, even though Jackson was a major celebrity. Contrast with how the press handled Rush Limbaugh and his pain-pill problem.
