The word of Hawaii officials might be challenged in court since the more citizens they have, they more federal funding they get. They still have not given a consistent answer on Obama’s birth records.
What various public officials say to reporters is of little consequence, legally. It's all a bunch of noise.
Only the actual, original long form birth certificate, presented to a court of law, and inspection by certified experts (and the public!) will shut this controversy down.
