"It's claimed Travolta wasn't happy when senior Scientology members instructed him to undergo sessions with an ethics officer, to establish whether he or his family's 'negative influences' might have contributed his son's death..."
I hope Travolta and family get out of the grips of the COS safely.

One word Travolta: Christ.

a cult... an awful cult that destroys lives...
watching the obamanation cult and the blindness surrounding it, I can see such a correlation... such blindness to the truth.

I honestly don’t care if Travolta has homosexual relationships. I’d be surprised if he had not, and I’m a big fan of his other than the Scientology bullcrap. He seems like a decent guy who got wrapped up in a cult. It may have cost him a son. There is still time for redemption.

I truly feel sorry for this guy - he’s obviously falling apart and his “religion” is only making things worse.

THere’s a movie where travolta plays a young lover to an older woman played by lilY tomlin. Isn’t she his real life sister??
YACK. BLECH. RALPH. HURL.

Well if the death of his son is what it takes for Travolta to abandon Scientology and hopefully trust in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, then it will be a good thing.
I feel sad for his son though.

John’s Lord Jesus will forgive him. He simply has to cast aside his abominable faith and declare Jesus his savior.

Will they let him go? Or will he experience a visit from Tom . . .

To: FreeManWhoCan
I do too.
But I would rather it be a public renunciation. And if they have dirt on John, John just needs to admit it, admit that it’s wrong and ask for forgiveness.

Amen, my hope and prayer is that he may come to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior to save him from his sin and to provide him with HOPE, not only in this life but in the life to come. Lord have mercy upon this man and his extended family and save their souls. Please deliver them from the awful cult that has such ungodly control over their lives and thoughts, in Jesus name, amen!

It wasn't faith that cost Travolta his son, but it was poor judgment. He entrusted the care of his mentally handicapped son (autistic or otherwise) to a man who was a photographer (allegedly), not a health care provider or certified child-care provider. He suffered more from the disease of Hollywood that the crazy teachings of a modern day cult.
I feel sorry for him. No man should have to endure the experience of outliving his son, especially one that was dependent on his father (and parents) as Travolta's was. Perhaps he can use this as the impetus to get to a better place in his life, for his sake as well as his family's.

They are not related. He has a sister named Ellen Travolta.
So just a YACK and a BLECH, but no RALPH or HURL.
To: mamelukesabre
Lily Tomlin and John Travolta are not related. Moment by Moment was an utter abomination, though.

death of that child wracked him....maybe he wants real faith now and not a nice concocted fable
