How to explain these things to our kids
Posted on 08/03/2009 7:27:40 PM PDT by Rethgryn
I've had an idea I've been kicking around in my head for a while, what if we had some sort of children's book or coloring book, to help our kids understand how to be patriotic in the face Obozo's illegitimate tyranny.
I was thinking the plot could show a typical American family, from the perspective of a kid, doing such things as having dinner, going to church, pledging allegiance, and voting. Then, it shows Obama getting elected, or some allegory for him, and taking that all away from him. Obama comes in and makes them eat soy crap, makes it illegal to go to church, changes the flag, and is shown to have stolen the election by being Kenyan or otherwise ineligible. But the book would end with the message that it would all get better and that America, the real America, would prevail.
I would just need someone who could do art better than me.
What do you guys think? I hate to think of our kids being recruited by the liberal media and liberal infiltrators in our schools to support socialism. With this, I think we could explain these things to our kids.

There are many adults who need an explanation.

So a comic book would be a great idea.

Make sure it starts out positive both for family and Hussain. Show how he plans to change things and how the deceits snowball, with possible scenerios for the future.

Also include a basic explanation of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Could be a big seller.

Good idea. The title can be "Congress".

As long as kids are in public school
no coloring book is going to help them. One hour with a coloring book as apposed to six hours with a school system that promotes socialism and untold hours of TV that does the same. Good luck.

Remember Classics Illustrated?
That might be the best format for adults and kids.
Back when I was in college there were some leftist comic style treatises which did a fairly credible job explaining stuff like Marxism, and in about 80 pages or so, with carton illustrations of Carl and Engels and Rosa Luxembourg and Lenin.
I’ll tell you, it explained that stuff to me and saved me a lot of trouble having to read that crap.
I’d do cartoon books on historical topics: take Edmund Burke’s “Reflections on the French Revolution” and show the actual history of the Revolution and how Burke predicted the Terror three years before it happened.
Kids need to be made historically literate, then they’ll get wise.

Good idea...I like the coloring book idea.
Use PA dutch artwork, allows for alot of colors to be used.
Leave a blank page next to each picture so that they
can insert there thoughts, like a little diary they can do
everyday. Make like a monthly book with at least 31 pages to
color. Good luck

I hate to think of our kids being recruited by the liberal media and liberal infiltrators in our schools to support socialism.
That reminds me of my first encounter with forced collectivism from the public schools system.
It was my second or third day of kindergarten, and our teacher was introducing us to our daily routine, which started off with the pledge of allegiance. I didn't like to say it, so I would stand there with my hand over my heart and wait for the rest to finish. Well, my teacher noticed and decided to nip my non-conformity in the bud. She told me that if I continued to refuse to say the pledge, that the police would come and take me away. Naturally, that got the intended result out of my five-year-old self.

Somebody please explain it to me. I took my US flag down after the election. I can't bring myself to put it back up. I'm thinking of flying the Gadsden instead...

Incredible, isn’t it? 50+ years old and very timely. The bad news is its use of the auto industry, I suppose.
