Not surprisingly, the Obama Joker Poster reported by NewsBusters Saturday is already drawing some outrage.
According to a television station where the posters have been spotted, "Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson is calling the depiction, politically mean spirited and dangerous."
Yet, when Vanity Fair's Politics & Power blog published a somewhat similar visual representation of George W. Bush last July, nobody seemed to complain. In fact, throughout the Bush years, demeaning drawings of the President and Vice President Dick Cheney were quite commonplace.
But, according to KTLA.com, depicting Barack Obama in unflattering terms is a no no (h/t Sonny Bunch via Jonah Goldberg):

These clowns are begging me to produce the most demeaning anti Obozo stuff I can think of. I feel inspired.
Suck it up Earl O’ Fairey.
Remember the “Chalk-bot” they use in the Tour de France to write messages on the roadway? A person could have a lot of fun with something like that ;-)
The Joker image fits him perfectly.
I don’t even want to see another pic of him without his make up on, lest we forget who we are dealing with.
If it makes some people mad, tough.
Have at it CC. I’m dying to see what you come up with!
But, better hurry...ObOzO might be walking the plank pretty soon! (well, one can hope...)
He’s half white anyway. I don’t see the problem. We’re just giving him half the grief the libs gave Bush. And nobody knows if a lib made the photo or not.

Turnabout is fair play.

Go for it!!!
Bob, you have a GREAT point! GET CREATIVE, PEEPS!
I’m ‘series’, here.
The world is your lobster. ;-)
Think of ways to get the ‘message’ out.
I have a couple of ideas. PM me (whether you think they’re silly or not....don’t care).
I think the proper tagline for this piece of art is “Why so socialist?”
We have a section in the Sunday papers where they feature anniversary's. If there is a before and now picture the ears on the guys are really big. It's true that your ears, nose and toes don't stop growing. If Obozo lives long enough he might have ears like that!
What a coincidence!
Attacking Bush is acceptable, and excused by using the First Amendment.
But attacking Obama in the exact same way is unacceptable, and politically mean spirited and dangerous.
And in the same token, attacking Christianity is acceptable, and explained away as free speech.
But attacking Islam is unacceptable, and an outrage worthy of death!
Curious how everything Obama says and does seems to closely resemble the idiology and behavior of Muslim extremists!

never mind the pictures they drew of Condi Rice....
