They know that if it comes to the thin red line between soldiers defending liberty and the constitution and killing and imprisoning fellow citizens the soldiers will stand with the citizen.
Homosexuals have been in every military since we lived in caves. I knew several during my time in the service, both male and (many more) female. None of the services train females for combat to the degree they do males, and I don’t see that changing in the near future. Remember the young female soldier that was taken captive early in the Iraq war? She couldn’t remember how to operate her M-16 rifle during the firefight. We had plans to evacuate our female soldiers from Korea in case of attack, which would have, of course, left us short-handed in an emergency. If they think that plan is working, they’d best re-think it.

There is no reason to believe that Gay people and women wouldn’t defend the Constitution. I would be more worried about the legions of gang-bangers and foreign nationals who are serving.
I once argued with a friend about the military takeover of America. I pointed out to him that as a percentage of population the Police and military are small. A certain percent of them wouldn’t go along with the scheme anyway. Add that to the millions of firearms and the rather large population of ex-military who are staunch defenders of the Republic in this country and you have a recipe for defeat.
They could control the urban areas but the more forceful and arrogant they become the greater the level of resistance they would engender which would lead to their ultimate downfall. The revenge a betrayed populace would exact would be horrific.
They will probably engineer a medical emergency instead.
That may be true for some but not for all there is plenty of mind control and indoctrination that goes on in the military that is rarely spoken of out side of the military.

as in Russia or any dictatorship......when you have the job, the money, the prestige.....you stick with the dictator.....
All this talk of grabbing a rifle and such is really just preening and posturing amounting to nothing. As I learned many years ago in gun politics, the folks who would say “they’ll take my gun out of my cold dead hands” were really saying “I want to sit on my ass and watch while someone else does the heavy lifting.” And the irony is, if it really came down to a confiscation scenario, you can bet that these same “patriots” would show up two hours early to turn in their guns so as to beat the crowds.
These kinds of threads are a waste of time and counterproductive. All they do is allow a few people to puff up their chests and say how they’ll dramatically do something (idiotic and suicidal) “someday.” Worse, they allow our opponents to point to conservative websites and use them to paint conservatives as violent and extreme.
The irony is that we know that this ill-defined “someday” is never going to come, and that these same individuals who are doing the posturing and preening will still be sitting on their asses doing nothing useful ten years from now.

In addition, more that four out of five of the Marines surveyed indicated they would be willing to “participate in missions under a U.S. National Emergency Police Force.”

The reason they want gays in the military is so that “fellow travelers” can promote them to the highest echelons.
Then they control it.
Just like they have pretty much done with the education system. I saw it locally last year when they fired the ONLY two openly republican teachers, claiming they didn't have the budget, but then hire two more who are staunch libtards.
And once the military is controlled by people with a shaky moral compass then we are in serious trouble. How else can you find people willing to kill citizens or run death camps? And Obama is firing Generals who have stated that they would refuse to fire on US citizens... what's up with that?
