Left-wing pressure groups Color of Change and Media Matters are claiming responsibility for getting Geico Insurance, Progressive Insurance, Procter & Gamble, and Lawyers.com to pull ads from Glenn Beck’s Fox News program.

The campaign against Beck picked up steam when the Fox News personality commented that President Obama was “racist” with a “deep-seated hatred for white people”.

I used to work for an organization that I described:

“The second-worst thing you can do in this organization is disagree with management. The worst thing you can do is disagree with management, AND BE RIGHT...”

Go to a real insurance company. Go to Allstate. They’ve been very good to me, and they are quite inexpensive if you have a good record. If you don’t have a good record, they won’t take you.

Rule #1: Management is always right.

Rule #2: If Management is wrong, see Rule #1.

There are three ways to do a job:
The right way
The wrong way
The ARMY way.

Geico is one of the worst insurance companies in this country. Even their own employees don’t insure with them, and will tell ya they’re a rip off.

I think GEICO is a Berkshire Hathaway holding. Warren Buffett is no friend of conservatives.

Off the record, their own employees will tell ya, their management truly sucks, and they are more expensive, dinging the customer at every opportunity.

Can’t begrudge any advertiser for avoiding controversy. My only concern would be, is GEICO an equal-opportunity avoider of controversy — or are they continuing to advertise on, say, Rachel Maddow’s show?

Get out of the way Geico, good riddance, you are just making room for good advertisers. Take your green assed metrosexual lizard and cram it.

I cancelled Geico years ago for their crook assed behavior.

Wow, I wish those advertisers would pull ALL their advertising from everything. I for one will do just fine if I never hear another GEICO commercial as long as I live. Double ditto for a Progressive commercial. The name alone is a turn-off.

Now, what can we do to PO the "free credit report" guys?

Geico is General Electric - in Obama’s hip pocket. Try Allstate or State Farm.

Meh.

If there are still businesses out there which actually CARE about advertising to a large audience, he will have plenty of takers to fill the empty slots.

I just sent an email protesting the GEICO ban on Glenn Beck. I am a policy holder with them. GEICO is owned by Warren Buffet, a big billionaire and Obama supporter.
