Facebook Rant Gets Worker Sacked

The full exchange of Facebook insults between a sacked worker and her boss emerged today.
The woman was apparently fired after abusing her boss on the social networking site -- forgetting she had made him a "friend".
The worker, known only as "Lindsay", updated her Facebook status with "OMG I HATE MY JOB!! My boss is a total pervy w****r, always making me do s**t stuff just to p**s me off!! W****r!"
Boss "Brian" responded a few hours later, opening with: "Hi Lindsay, I guess you forgot about adding me on here?"...

Reminds me of a similar story in my company . . . involving a disparaging remark -- sent via e-mail from one employee to several others -- about an outside party working for another company.
He used the "Reply to All" function in Outlook to send the message, not knowing that the target of the remark was included among the recipients. LOL.

Keep your friends close, and your facebook friends closer. I have a facebook account and have the privacy setting set pretty tight. Only friends can see my profile stuff. But if you add your boss to your friends list and they aren't really your best pal, you're just asking for trouble.

Just how stupid was this person?
I cannot understand people staying with a company if they don’t have an ounce of respect for management. I have only had one boss I could not respect, so I eventually found another job, but in the meantime behaved professionally.

The only people on my facebook account are people I knew way back when. I will not let any new acquaintances/friends on my facebook account. I post a lot of politically oriented messages on various pages.
