How nice! I love to see newer players succeed. Golf is hugh in South Korea, so while Mr. Yang may be the first Korean to win a major in the U.S., I doubt he’ll be the last.

(Now I’m off to check the stats to see how Vijay Singh did. He’s my favorite!)

A one note wonder. You will never again hear his name mentioned regarding winning a PGA event. Dumb luck, but a pathetic, lifeless perfromance from Woods. He looked like he was on drugs the entire day. Horrific putting, chipping and iron play. Absolutely pathetic!

Maybe we can ask Tiger to play with one hand so you won’t be bored.

Yang is no foreigner, he just moved here to the Metroplex.

Real good chance Mr. Yang could hardly speak anything after the stress involved in beating the world’s best golfer.

The “sour grapes” method continues to assert itself after many thousands of years of hopeless transparency. Still, I watched this Tiger putt the other day and it curved ~ INCREDIBLE. My cousin invented the perfect golf ball for Wilson decades ago and his ball couldn’t do that.

Dumb luck for four days?

You mean Ben Curtis.

I’ve never seen him lip out so many putts

That is what kept both Hogan and Snead from adding more wins to their impressive totals
In their 40s Hogan and Snead could still hit more greens in regulation than others on the tour

Dumb luck for four days?

We shall see. Five years ago, Ben Curtis had four days of dumb luck to win the British Open.

That said, I enjoy seeing "Temper Tantrum" Woods lose.

Those who want to play in our major championships should have at least minimum proficiency in English.

ml/nj - you need to quit leaving your computer unattended ... one of your so called friends posted the line above and it really makes you look stupid.

I don’t have concrete evidence. I wasn’t there to inject him or watch him swallow pills. But he was a very lean kid and all of a sudden he blew up quite quickly. Just like when I said the same thing about many baseball players, like Bonds but was ridiculed. Being around body builders and others who have bulked up fast, I see the same trait in Tiger. I don’t think he’s on it now due to the PGA now wanting to test, but Tiger’s physique looks like he was aided by PEDs.

Yes, you’re right. One of the reasons I like golf is that a player of less than top ability (relative to the rest of the PGA tour) can have a great four days with the course and wipe out the big names. Maybe it means there’s a consistently great golfer inside, maybe not. Time will tell.

There were a lot of unknown names on the list when I checked on Vijay. We just don’t see enough golf these days, with no TV reception other than PBS!

In 1953 17 years I was 6 ft and weight 129 lbs —my father was very thin also

I bought a set of weights and trained using old fashioned workout methods and nutrition

By the time I was 21 lifting only 3 days a week during the school year I was up to 176 at 6% body fat

My brother was just as thin and he got to 210 solid muscle

Weren’t no roids back then —we were lucky to have enough $$$ for a milk shake several times a week

And a profoundly talented *and* hardworking athlete. Not that there aren’t many others, but Vijay is just “my guy” in the PGA as long as he hangs on.

I have always liked the way Tiger has handled himself on and off the tour. He is one of the best golfers of all time but I just wonder how good he or any of todays tour players would be if they had to play with the equipment that was used 40,30,or even 20 years ago?

I’m sure Tiger’s Arabic is fantastic when he wins in Dubai.

Learn what a lingua franca and get back to me.
