I'm not really sure that is the moral of the story.
If my friend Jane introduce me to a man by saying "This is my husband Simon." - has she thrust her sex life in my face? I would say no. I'm fairly certain most here would agree. If my friend John introduces me to a man by saying "This is my husband Simon." - has he thrust his sex life in my face? I would say no. I'm fairyly positive most here would agree with me based on past statements.
Why should the one couple go to great lengths to make sure I don't even suspect a relationship if I don't ask the same of the other? I believe I can handle knowing about the reality of such relationships without approving of them.
