Now that training camp is coming to a close, Favre shows up.

So predictable.

More power to him. If he wants to play, so be it. It’s the media that’s constantly pressing him for an answer. I’m not sure why so many begrudge him for doing something he loves to do. He’s only one season removed from an MVP-caliber year.

Brett will get an upclose look at the blitzing linebackers, safeties and cornerbacks in Dom Capers defense.

We'll see how fast the old man can run. (...from a longtime cheesehead)

If he doesn’t lead the Vikings to a Super Bowl win, it’s all for nothing

I haven't been this sick since half way through the season with Hershel Walker who eventually returned to the Cowboys...

Didn’t he just finish wiping his eyes from his latest retirement cry? This guy is peeing his legacy down the drain.

I wish I could get $10 million for doing the same.

I agree with you. Brett loves the game and if someone wants him on their team and he wants to play, It’s a done deal. No one is forcing anyone to buy tickets to watch him play or forcing them to watch him on TV.

"He won’t quit until he does a Theisman."

I remember that like it was yesterday.

My thoughts exactly, just checking the schedule before I read the article, Ravens get the wimps on October 18.

Reggie Lewis tackled Michael Vick from behind with a horsecollar shoulder pad tackle when it was legal and Vick was out for most of the year with a broken ankle.

I'm betting Brett gets hurt for the first time in his career this year.

He wanted to play earlier, he just didn’t want to go to trainning camp.

What an attention whore.

My problem isn’t that he won’t hang it up, everybody who can keep finding teams should pull a Chris Chelios or a Gordie Howe in my book, play until their 80 I’m OK with that. The problem is all this off season idiocy of “oh I’m gonna retire, oh no wait, well, maybe, um”. 4 freaking seasons he’s been doing this crap and it’s tiresome. Retire or don’t, just don’t drag out this junk.

Brett can do what he wants and you are free to have “problems” with what he is doing. I am free to look forward to watching him play. In my opinion, no other athlete displays a love for the game when he is on the field like Brett does. That's why I love to watch Brett play.

I’m just glad the Packers cut the cord with Favre when they did. Steve Young says he thinks Aaron Rodgers will be a top 5 quarterback this year if he stays healthy. High praise? Certainly. But I believe Rodgers is the real deal.

wasn’t it 40 something to nothing?

I don’t wish Brett any ill will, but I see an ambulance cart in his near future. good luck Vikings fan, go easy on him when he screws up.

Percy Harvin will be making some things happen ,too.

I’m betting 2-3 kickoff returns for TDs this year.

Ahh, You’re wondering why nobody picked McNair ‘cause his arms shot?

It was his head and chest, pretty much point blank.

You check to see if your picks are still alive or not...

The problem isn’t his love for the game on the field. The problem is his desperate need to be the center of attention off the field. That’s the real reason he keeps doing this “will I or won’t I” crap, because he wants the same attention in March and May he gets in October and November. It’s not like it would actually be difficult for him to put in his contract that he doesn’t have to go to training camp, which is the excuse people throw around, but that wouldn’t give him the constant attention all off season. I used to enjoy watching Brett play, but I just can’t stand him anymore, his off season primadonna routines have ruined it for me. I hope he plays so bad in the Greenbay games that his coach actually yanks him, Brett’s earned a good old fashioned benching.

Possible but doubtful. The rules changing the classic wedge blocking will really shift the advantage to the coverage team.

Well, I guess I can say signing Favre is better than Vick ... PR wise anyway.

I thought that Farve said that he retired because he wasn’t sure if his body could hold up for a entire season. I guess his body is much stronger/better now than it was three weeks ago.

Having said that, I can’t blame him for coming back for 10 million dollars. Even if he doesn’t need the money, that’s still a good chunk of change.
