That's exactly what he's claiming during his appearance on NBC (via Fox News):

If he was straight, he would not have done hard time.

That's what Richard Hatch, the winner of Survivor's first season, said on the Today Show this morning.

When asked if he thought his sexual orientation was the reason he went to jail after being convicted in 2006 of failing to pay taxes on his $1 million prize for winning the reality show, Hatch replied, "I do believe that."

And the confused "gay rights advocate" and blind-as-a-bat Obama sycophant Andrew Sullivan will start demanding to inspect Hatch's grandmother's ob/gyn records to prove this apostate of the cult of The Messaiah is really her child in five...four...three...two

From the interview, I believe Hatch was trying to say that the judge who sentenced him was the one who wanted Hatch in jail due to the judges bias against homosexuals.

I just want that media whore Hatch to quit getting his ugly mug on TV.
