You got any facts to refute my "empty assertions"? FNC only wins the cable wars. Still, three times as many people watch the ABC News nighly broadcast than watch O'Reilly. Both the "Today Show" and "Good Morning America" beat "FOX & Friends" a multiple of 4 or 5. In fact, NBC's the "Today Show" and ABC's "Good Morning America", beat ALL the morning cable news programs - combined. It will be interesting to see what the ratings are this morning - the morning of a major news story.
Last year, FNC didn't win a single Emmy or Peabody - not one. This year, they're not even nominated for a single Peabody or Emmy. Not nominated.
I'm not sure what kind of facts you want, but there it is. They lose in ratings and they don't even compete for journalism awards. Political junkies on the right love FNC, and on the left they love MSNBC, but people don't turn to either for breaking news, with good reason.

As for the Liberals awarding themselves the prizes...well who gives a flying rat's arse about that? Afterall, Walter E. Duranty won the Pulitzer for lying about Stalin, Carter won the Nobel Peace because he was the Anti-Bush, Krugman won the Nobel in economics, Gore won an Oscar and a Nobel, so, I personally don't give much credence to Nobel Prizes, Pulitzers, Peabodies, Oscars, etc. It represents the Dumb awarding the Dumber awards.
Somebody should have given them both wedgies.
