Proof That the Loch Ness Monster Exists?
FOX NEWS ^ | 8/26/2009

This amazing image on Google Earth could be the elusive proof that the Loch Ness Monster exists.

Sun reader Jason Cooke spotted "Nessie" while browsing the Web site's satellite photos.

The shape seen on the surface of the 22-mile Scottish loch is 65ft long and appears to have an oval body, a tail and four legs or flippers.

Some experts believe Nessie may be a Plesiosaur, an extinct marine reptile with a shape like the Google image.

"This is really intriguing. It needs further study," said researcher Adrian Shine, of the Loch Ness Project.

Sightings have been claimed for centuries.

To see the object, enter co-ordinates Latitude 57°12'52.13"N, Longitude 4°34'14.16"W in Google Earth.

Oh! Forgot to add that he said this eel-type creature was riding the wave the bow of the boat made for a little while then “started to head off to the right and dove...we didn’t see it again.”

Engine exhaust down the middle.

I'd say pro wash down the middle. It is a boat for sure though.

Photograph taken seconds before 38-foot craft was snapped in half!

And from 60-100 ft overhead to boot!

Obviously Nessies friend the Teradyctal flying escort..

I have a Lock Ness Monster sitting on the lift behind the house. In warm weather, the manatees hang out under my Loch Ness Monster. All my neighbors have Loch Ness Monsters too.

The evidence he has seen is that the loch is more likely home to a 30-to-50-foot eel.

How does it reproduce? It's been around for an awfully long time.

That’s the Battleship Texas, (BB-35), isn’t it?

Ahh... what a BEAUTIFUL ship. And, the first to launch an airplane IIRC.

Yep, she’s the Texas. The only surviving 1st generation dreadnought and a veteran of two world wars.

How does it reproduce? It's been around for an awfully long time.

Alten, on that program, said that eels live 80-100 years. He said that mariners from Columbus to others came across what they would sometimes call "sea monsters" in the Sargassos Sea (which isn't too far from Scotland) which Alten surmised were these giant aggressive eels.

He believes one may have somehow become locked within the loch. One of the theories as to why it was an eel, he said, is a reputed tooth found in a half-eaten deer on a loch beach. A picture of the tooth found, when compared to an eel tooth, apparently was similar. Such eels, said Alten, apparently "lock on" to an object when bitten to. [There, I've managed to use the work "lock" twice and "loch" twice!]

And why did he not consider some large man made object as a possibility?

Actually, Alten did consider that after reviewing the photo for an hour. He said when you inverted the picture, it was even more apparent that at least on one side, the objects sticking out appear to be two oars.
