Here is video from Sen. Edward (Ted) Kennedy's Funeral Service in Boston today, where his grandchildren and younger nieces and nephews led the congregation in the "Prayers of the Faithful," or intercessions. As you will hear, they infused the prayers with politics, including the prayer that the "cause of his life to see every American have decent quality health care as a fundamental right and not a privilege," be realized. . . . . No...I’m not going to see the vid. The words alone were enough to make me puke my lunch in a wastebasket.
i’m outraged I tell you that The Prayer of the Faithful would be changed for political means and ends.
That’s it.... i’m sending a very succinct letter to O’Malley.
Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment.
The exclusion of the unborn is pathetic....both the younger Kennedy’s as well as the priest listed a litany of political causes...poverty, health, illegal immigrants...
Yet not a peep about the unborn and Life...
It’s pathetic and it’s hypocritical of both the Kennedy’s and the priest. What a tremendoud impact Ted’s conversion on Life could have been. But barring that reality, the priest could have at least mentioned the Unborn with a reference to our imperfections as Christians and Catholics.
“The cause of his life to see every American have decent quality health care, including abortion, lots and lots of abortion, all kinds of abortions from early term to moment of birth, murdered fetuses everywhere, baby parts bought and sold, blood on everyone’s hands, Tillers galore, as a fundamental right.”
That’s all these people know. They have done nothing productive their entire lives. They are totally consumed with running our lives. Their prayers are political because their god is government. They worship government and think that it is the solution to meet all needs and solve every problem.
