Oregon teacher accused of having sex with students

HEPPNER, Ore. (AP) - The Morrow County sheriff's office arrested a female teacher accused of having sex with two boys, 15 and 17.
The sheriff's office says 30-year-old Wendy Cannin was taken into custody Monday and lodged at the Umatilla County Jail on charges of sexual misconduct and rape.

Statistically, the vast majority of young female teachers don’t do this. This sort of thing is common enough to make the news frequently, but rare enough to make the news in the first place.
I don’t see why those that do it feel the need to get themselves in trouble by doing it this way. I like younger men (my boyfriend is seven years younger than me), but I don’t chase high school boys.

Not willing to pronounce guilt or innocence at this point. Need more evidence. A poorly lit mugshot photo can be misleading.
Although...if I did do it (hypothetically speaking, of course)...I wonder if I’d be found “Not Guilty.”

While the teacher definately should be punished, I’ve always thought that in cases like this the boys should be punished in some way too.
I will bet you that they were willing participants and loved every minute they could have with this teacher.
She may have been using them, but they were using her back.

I will bet you that they were willing participants and loved every minute they could have with this teacher. The teacher is expected to be the adult. People in a position of power are expected to set and enforce standards.
