Best place to find a job right now is Washington, DC. Go figure.

I’m right in the middle of that list. It’s difficult to get hired right now.

Because the gov’t is the only one w/the money - not private institutions. Is this America?

I’ve been trying to upgrade jobs, and move to my wife’s home state of Texas for the last 9 months with no success. I’ve become grateful for the one I have.

This RAT crap hole is even worst than that. Thousand of additional illegals are flooding the parking lots. But what is interesting is that the layoffs are huge here and the few I personally know have quit looking. Luck would have it that they are still on unemployment and even that is about to run out. Kalifornia is in the toilet from Government of the radical sick to poor small business that just can't survive the wrath of Government fees and regulations.

During the day, I always felt safe in DC. At night, the place around the capitol becomes a ghost town, even around the attractions, which close up early.

Just like any other big city, there are places you should never go into, day or night.

If you are dependent on job listings for your job search, you will not likely find a job soon. Nothing beats good old fashioned networking/"informational interviews."
