The graph represents the 2008 predictions of the "Experts" for what, they believed, would be the arctic sea ice extent for the Sept. minimum for 2009. All of their predictions were too low.

If the same thing were happening with the economy the “experts” would be gushing at the astonishing growth exceeding their expectations. Instead we are told that the growth isn’t real and what looks like a recovery is really just more bad news. Meanwhile the polar bears are complaining that the beachfront property they got suckered into is now miles from the shore.

Watched an episode of The Deadliest Catch in which Captain Sig Hansen bemoaned how fast the artic ice pack has been moving down in the last few fishing seasons. I say Captain Sig is a hell of a lot more credible than tree-hugging liberals (yeah, you Al Bore) crying about this.
