WASHINGTON (AP) - The Obama administration has told some members of Congress that it plans to nominate its Southwest border czar to be commissioner of Customs and Border Protection. Alan Bersin has been serving in a position created by the Obama administration to handle illegal immigration and border issues since April.
As head of Customs and Border Protection, Bersin would continue to oversee border issues.
From 1993 to 1998, Bersin was the federal prosecutor who led the government's crackdown on illegal immigrants at the California-Mexico border. During his final three years, Bersin doubled as the U.S. attorney general's Southwest border representative, or "border czar."
Bersin would have to be confirmed by the Senate.

“From 1993 to 1998, Bersin was the federal prosecutor who led the government’s crackdown on illegal immigrants at the California-Mexico border.”
There was no crackdown, just facilitation.
What say you about this?
Ah, yet another NWO cronie.
So, where do you believe the power to reside right now? The commissioner’s office? The deputy commissioner’s office? Some BO appointee over at DHS? I know Marco Antonio Lopez Jr. from Nogales was planted in the assistant commissioner’s office earlier this year. Is he still there running the show?
You probably remember Lopez from when he was the open-border, pro-illegal mayor of Nogales. He then went to work in Napolitano’s governor’s office in some economic development capacity. Shortly after the inauguration, he turned up in Ahern’s office.
I don’t know any mayors from Nogales. Napi made him Chief of Staff at CBP, which means he’s her eyes and ears to make sure CBP is doing her bidding. It’s the same in any administration!
So, by crackdown he means let more across the border. I see.
A-NOTHER czar!!???
