Public School Library Propagates Falsehood That Governor Palin Banned Books

How ironic it is that when news emerges of Governor Palin's book becoming available prior to its expected date, she shows up in my school's library. No, she didn't show up in person and no, there was no announcement to inform interested students about her book, which reportedly is already number one on the Barnes and Noble list.

She showed up in the center of a display highlighting Banned Books Week.

A liberal lie is harder to kill than Michael Myers of the Halloween movie fame.

But I'm sure this public library will have her book.

Libraries are supposed to be informational. How could a Librarian make this a display without checking the facts? An LA Times (?) article, does not a fact make. When you write a paper you can’t just use one source.

That reminds me of Jamie Curtis and her new commercial. Instead of thinking of Halloween now, I have to think of her as the “Activia lady”. haha

I will always think of her as Wanda, regardless of the bifidus.

The librarian based the entire display on an unsubstantiated rumor, and can’t even name the books that were going to be banned? That is not library science, that it agitprop, and I wouldn’t waste my time talking to anyone but the school board.

C4P is really an excellent website. They do a lot of legwork to prevent the lies about Palin from spiraling out of control.

I have never seen it. I was not allowed to go to movies like that. Way too young, and by the time I was old enough, those weren’t the kind of movies I was interested in. But I did like a Fish Called Wanda, and wish I would have seen that in a theater.

I think that I saw that. I saw Halloween in a movie theatre at the University with some of my high school friends who knew somebody. I had no idea of what I was going to watch. It certainly must have been rated “R” and I think I was 16 when I saw it.

The fact that the left has to resort to recycling old debunked crap from 2008 tells me that they have nothing left. By time 2012 rolls around they will still be spouting the same tired old stuff, and Palin will have at least one best seller probably 2, scores of speeches, lots of op/eds, plus a record of reform in Alaska to run on. 0bama, on the other hand, will be forced to defend his failure policies amidst rising inflation and lingering high unemployment, plus a mountain of debt.
