That’s just wrong!

Hallmark puts their ornaments up and for sale in July!

I guess soon they’ll start selling them the day after Christmas for the next year!

I’m glad you had a nice day.
I went searching for a lost fall graphic..started at Oct.1, 20008 and saw it was your birthday! I did not find the graphic but was glad I found out in time for best wishes to you.
We just had a 30 minute thunderstorm..not severe..just heavy rain and lightning.

I certainly didn’t know it was your birthday today, Lori! I finally got one posted and have asked the mods to take one down. I got one of those ‘resend’ things that pop up and when I did that it posted again, except it had been corrected and it was the wrong one! I hope you had a very nice birthday anyway!

JustAmy: WOW.. Marissa is a beautiful child.

Ditter & Pollywog: Thank you and Amy for sharing your stories, its reassuring to know that others have gone through similiar experiences and we aren't alone in the world.

Music Of The Soul
Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. —Ephesians 5:19

In his book Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain, Oliver Sacks devotes a chapter to the therapeutic role of music with people suffering from Alzheimer’s. He writes of watching people with advanced dementia respond to songs that bring back memories that had seemed lost to them: “Faces assume expression as the old music is recognized and its emotional power felt. One or two people, perhaps, start to sing along, others join them and soon the entire group—many of them virtually speechless before—is singing together, as much as they are able.”

I have seen this occur at Sunday morning services in the Alzheimer’s care facility where my wife’s mother lives. Perhaps you’ve experienced it with a loved one whose mind is clouded, and a song calls forth an awareness from deep within.

Paul encouraged the Christians in Ephesus to “be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Eph. 5:18-19). Songs that glorify God can reach the deepest level where the meaning never fades. More than words, harmony, or conscious thought, such music is good for the heart and soul.

There’s wondrous music in my soul
Since Jesus’ blood has made me whole;
Now my heart sings His songs of praise
For all His blessings all my days. —Hess

A heart in tune with God can’t help but sing His praise.

I confess..I just framed a Christmas Angel for December..LOL

My life is so much easier now that I have organized and edited my decorations..

If only I would organize all my paperwork and have it stay organized. I'd rather play on the computer.

Hi Amy :)
This is so lovely. Thank you!
How did your PTA meeting go? Marissa already has a report card coming out. We started late this year. Week after Labor Day. I hope Marissa is enjoying school this year!

Booboo is doing great with school. Her first year in Jr high. She was so nervous at first.
Have a great day!
